Complaints - how to deal with them and how to avoid them?

Customers complain. There’s only so much you can do about that, and despite your best efforts – some people always have something to complain about. How you deal with difficult complaints and turn a dissatisfied customer into a satisfied one has to do in particular with communication, management and systematic troubleshooting. All three contents are dealt with using examples and we systematically analyze what can be improved.

Together with you, we develop guidelines and tools that can be used to improve the points mentioned.

Personnel is a company’s capital. From a catchphrase to an action plan

Personnel is important, but unfortunately often scarce. This scarcity has to do with the number but also the activities of the people in the company. In selected areas, we analyze together with you in a workshop what your employees deal with on a daily basis. First of all, we look for tools with which these employees can be relieved. In addition, we check to what extent there is a need for further training.

Together with you, we develop an action plan with the contents of personnel development, optimization of workload and, incidentally, improve communication through the workshop.

The process from inquiry to delivery is often characterized by bottlenecks, queries are often necessary, or other obstacles lie in the way. The aim of the workshop is to show ways to improve effectiveness and to make them transparent on the basis of well-known everyday problems.

Colorimetry for beginners

Good color management is critical for many companies in the paint and coatings industry. However, many employees do not dare to approach the topic because it is often mystified or communicated in a too complicated way. We offer a workshop that teaches the topic of color measurement and management in a way that is easy to understand and practical, without becoming too academic or spiritual.

The goal is to gain basic knowledge and understanding of color measurement.

Data and process mining - how to utilize your own data practically and purposefully

As a rule, companies generate a lot of data. However, this data is scattered and often buried as unearthed treasures. Many service providers are busy in this area, but usually do not have the necessary expertise in the paint and coatings business. You don’t have to spend a lot of time explaining to us what you actually do. At ORONTEC, you can draw on 150 years of paint experience – and also call on IT expertise.

The goal of the workshop is to identify the various data sources, evaluate them, and make them useful by linking them.

Dispersion processes - burning or printing money?

Dispersion, especially of pigments and fillers, is one of the most value-adding processes in the paints and coatings industry. However, the aggregates used for this purpose are often not operated optimally. Excessively long dispersion times cost valuable capacity. Poorly dispersed raw materials mean wasted potential in color strength, production fluctuations and quality problems. In our workshop, we work concretely on the optimization of dispersions and also use our measuring technology.

The aim of the workshop is to achieve improvements in important dispersion processes.

Throughput time - Find your hidden resources!

Throughput times significantly determine the output in production and limit the economic success of your company.

In this workshop, we will work with you to analyze and reduce your throughput times. Thus, already existing resources can be better utilized. Starting with methods such as value stream mapping up to the reduction of your process and inspection times, we will bring your hidden potentials to light and conceptualize the implementation of a target-oriented increase in effectiveness.

Paint development - from bottleneck to accelerator

In coatings development, all signs are pointing to a storm: ever greater variety and bio-based raw materials on the one hand, ever higher requirements on the customer side. In between, high pressure to solve a customer request in a short time.

In this workshop, we will present solution strategies ranging from customer support to innovation strategy, depending on the focus. The aim of the workshop is to develop concrete proposals for accelerated coating development that can also be implemented quickly.
